Note: Marjorie Hollis Gale will lead this walk to the top of Mount Philo, pointing out the geological features of the landscape along the way. Ms. Gale is one of the editors of the state bedrock map and has 13 years of experience working for the Vermont Geological Survey. This field trip is limited to 25 participants. TURTLE BEACH CLEAN UP and BEACH PARTY

Note: Join Steve and the GMAS crew for a workday, preparing two stretches of beach for the turtle egg-laying season next June. The threatened Spiny Softshell Turtle is Steve's particular concern, but nests of Map, Snapping, and Painted Turtles may be uncovered, too.
To get to NHSP take route 2 north past Carry Bay in North Hero. Turn right on Lakeview Drive just before route 2 turns toward Alburg. Look for the NHSP entrance on the left almost at the end of Lakeview Drive.
